http://www.pilatesology.com Join Karen as she teaches the concept of taking the body from rounded to arched without losing the connection to your center. Throughout the Pilates method, the spine is continually being challenged to remain stable and supported while it moves through it's full range of motion. With this in mind, Karen starts on the Reformer with the Knee Stretch Series, going over some of the key components and how it relates to another important series of exercises: Down Stretch, Up Stretch, Combo. Karen then takes her student to the Large Barrel, and explains how to initiate the Swan movement correctly and what to look for when taking the body all the way into a backbend and home to the barrel again. Filmed at Vintage Pilates in West Los Angeles, CA.
